| Synopsis:
Everyone, especially children, knows that the holiday season is a time for miracles. However, six-year-old Susan Walker has doubts about childhood's most enduring miracle...Santa Claus. This holiday season, Susan is going to receive the most precious gift of all: something to believe in. And she's about to discover that miracles do occur... The story relates the arrival of one Kriss Kringle, a department store Santa who believes he's the genuine article, and who subsequently turns a skeptical child's world upside-down. When Kriss is put on trial to prove he's Santa, the youngster -- and everyone around her -- learns the true meaning of faith, the importance of family... and that even today, we all need something to believe in. |

This version of Miracle on 34th Street is my wife's favorite one. To her, it doesn't seem like Christmas without watching it at least once and, of course, A Christmas Carol!! Anyway, this is an enchanting version and it came brand new just as we ordered.

I bought this movie the day it came out on VHS, and my family has watched it every year before Christmas. We also watch the original film for old times sake, but Mara Wilson, the little girl, melts my heart with her performance! The actors are incredible, and my Christmas would not be complete without being able to see this movie! This version of the story stays very well with the original, but reserves just enough updating to make it believable! You will NOT be disapointed with this movie!

My family enjoys this movie every year. It stands up to the test of being a remake. The directors choice of stars turned out great too. Make popcorn, put your feet up and have fun.
